von Braun´s Review

In total, only 108 Ferrari F355 Challenge were built during the years 1995-1998. For this reason, this is probably one of Ferrari's most interesting semi-classics from a collector's perspective. Only some of these Challenge cars are registered and approved to be driven on the street. This is one of the cars that are registered and approved. At the start of the 1995 season of Ferrari Challenge, the model F355 was completely new. This car was part of the team of cars, which the Ferrari dealer in Stuttgart, Walter Lais (Lais Power) had gathered for the series. The car was provided with the professional driver Harald Brutschin which would prove to be a lucky draw. This led to great success and at the end of the season a total victory was secured in the Ferrari Challenge Central Europe. The car was eventually sold to England where it was painted the classic red color (Rosso Corsa). In England it is also said to have got the engine restored. From UK it was sold to Sweden. Here it participated in the Scandinavian Ferrari Challenge during the years 2002-2005. During 2017-2018 the car underwent extensive renovation. The car that had previously been painted red was completely dismantled during the renovation. The body was blasted and sanded clean. Then the car was restored with paint in the white original color "100 Bianco Avus". Through extensive research, the graphic design has also been restored authentically by manufacturing the sponsors' decals. During the assembly, various wear parts were replaced including ball joints. The engine was seen over and received a new cam belt as well as a new water pump. After renovation, the car has only been tested at a number of events and exhibitions. This unique Ferrari who became Cup Champion 1995 has, after renovation and restoration to its original design, been signed in person by Walter Lais.
