von Braun´s Review
Let us present one of the most desirable Italian cars of the 1960s — the Maserati Ghibli.
The Maserati Ghibli was first unveiled at the 1966 Turin Motor Show, and the coupé immediately took the automotive world by storm. It was powered by a 4.7-liter dry-sump V8 engine producing 310 horsepower — an engine with true Maserati racing pedigree.
The beautiful and elegant body was designed by Ghia, with styling by the brilliant Giorgetto Giugiaro, who considers this car his personal masterpiece.
In 1969, Maserati introduced an even more exclusive version: the Ghibli Spyder — a two-seater sports car with an optional steel hardtop.
The Ghibli SS Spyder featured an enlarged 4.9-liter engine producing 335 hp. With a top speed of 285 km/h, it became the fastest Maserati road car of its time. Only 25 examples of the Ghibli SS Spyder were ever built, making it the most coveted of all Ghiblis.
A rare opportunity to acquire this extraordinary model is now offered by von Braun Sports Cars in Sweden.
This particular Ghibli was manufactured in May 1972 and delivered to Grossman Motor Car Corporation in New York on May 23rd, 1972.

The car was imported to Sweden in 1989 in complete and drivable condition, although showing signs of wear. The most recent owner acquired the car in 1995 and held onto it for 30 years.
Between 2014 and 2017, the car underwent an extensive and detailed restoration in collaboration with recognized professionals. The result is a vehicle that meets Hagerty Valuation “#2 Excellent Condition” — both in craftsmanship and visual appearance. The restoration is well-documented, and a full technical and visual inspection report from von Braun Sports Cars is available.
Since the completion of the restoration in 2017, the car has been driven through Europe and exhibited at selected events. It was awarded a Certificate of Concours d’Elegance and named "First in Class" and "Best in Show" during the Maserati International Rally in 2022. The restoration story was also featured in Viale Ciro Menotti, Issue #111.
This Maserati is presented in its most desirable specification:
– 5-speed ZF manual gearbox
– Factory-fitted steel hardtop
– Power-assisted steering
– Two-piece leather luggage set

…and much more. Please refer to the full list of equipment for details.
The Maserati Ghibli was produced between 1967 and 1973. A total of 1,170 cars were built — 1,045 coupés and only 125 Spyders, of which just 25 were SS models.
