Ford Mustang 64½ Convertible

Finally a lovely Ford Mustang Convertible of the first generation commonly known as 1964 ½. Distinctive is that it has the small V8 of 4.3 liters which was only delivered initially on the Ford Mustang. This car has received a lot of love over the years and is in very presentable condition. It was delivered new in March 1964 and imported to Sweden from the USA in 2009. The lighter variant of red color is called Poppy Red. It seems to have been painted when it came to Sweden in 2009 at Segerstens Billackering in Örebro. The painting is of a normal OK standard and is not of an show paint job, but carried out by a professional painter. The interior may have been replaced over the years or is completely original and in very good condition. Soft top has probably been replaced with a new one in recent years. The most recent owner, who recently passed away, had von Braun Sports Cars perform a service in the spring of 2022 where belts, coolant etc. were also replaced. The engine has been equipped with electronic ignition and a new radiator. During the test drive, we can state that the brakes work well and the car does not pull sideways. The automatic transmission shifts fine. The engine is very easy to start. The body appears fairly untouched and does not have a lot of badly done rust repairs that are often the case on 60 year old cars. Fit between screen and windshield is better than on the vast majority.

This is the right car for you who want to be able to drive a classic Mustang this summer without a lot of boring surprises. It is fine enough to garner much attention among car enthusiasts for its authentic condition and has a delightfully pristine appearance. At von Braun Sports Cars, we love early Mustangs. The Mustang is a pretty classic American "Pony-car" that is both easy and nice to drive. It symbolizes an era during the 20th century that was filled with faith in the future and prosperity.
